We like to keep a pulse on what how our clients are planning their wedding; especially how they find their vendors. Lately we’ve meeting with brides who come with briefcases chock full of pages torn from Chicago Social Brides, which is a good thing, seeing as though we just placed in ad in their latest issue. Check out the very nicely done digital version. The Emotia ad is on page 256. We hope to see you all at future CS Brides events! (BTW, the photo in the ad is from the wedding of Megan Macri that we shot in December ’08).

Check us out! We just got some snazzy new business cards and we couldn’t be happier with the unique ‘letterbox’ size. The bride on the back of the card is Megan Macri. We shot her wedding photography in Chicago at Holy Name Cathedral back in December 2008.

The newest addition … Canon 5D MKII | Emotia

We’d like to cordially introduce to the newest member of the Emotia family. This here is the Canon 5D MK II, Canon’s newest camera that can do a lot of cool things, the important being full-HD video. Say it with me now, ‘mmmmmm video’. Since I come from a video background, I was really excited when they announced this camera. Naturally, it’s been out of stock for a while due to high demand but I finally got my hands on one. You may be thinking, ‘a camera that does video too – what’s the big deal?’ Without getting all techy on you, the difference with this cam is that it uses photography lenses instead of a standard video lens, and photography lenses give you that shallow depth of field that you only see in photography … and motion picture films. Nuff said. I can’t wait to show you what we can do with this thing. A whole new world of possibilities for our clients just opened up – are you ready?
